Dear Potential Sponsor,
We are Andres Bonifacio Samahan, established in 1971 as a non-profit Filipino-American based organization from San Diego State University. We strive to preserve Filipino culture by means of community service, political awareness, academic excellence and social activities. As one of the largest cultural organizations on campus, we cultivate and enlighten strong, young leaders.
For the past 24 years, our organization unites to showcase our major event, Filipino Culture Night. In this completely student-run production, we portray historical, current and envisioned events and issues within the Filipino-American community through theater and dancing. FCN has successfully provided a culturally enriching experience for students, faculty and the community.
On April 16-17, 2010, we will gladly present FCN at the Salvation Army Joan Kroc theatre as a gift to the community. In order to keep the event free of charge, we anticipate that our budget will be approximately $15,000. Your sponsorship will help offset the expenses of costumes, props, sets, lighting, promotions, DVDs and most importantly the use of the venue. In supporting us, you are helping self-motivated collegiate students who believe in their culture, give back to the community, and strive to educate themselves and others.
Attached is the donation/advertisement form. Note that all donations are tax-deductible, and receipts are available upon request. Please consider donating or purchasing advertisement space in the FCN program to benefit your business and/or show support for FCN participants. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
We extend an open invitation to everyone in the community to this year’s FCN. Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact our FCN Coordinator, Jennifer Amos ([email protected]) or Funding Director, Jenna Mariano ([email protected]) via e-mail.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Amos Jenna Mariano Sean Delizo
